[ Hzgg 3 - Episode 23 ]

Oh my gosh, I hate it. I had typed 2 whole pages of the summary and MWord suddenly disappeared, together with my summary! I have to start all over again, oh my gosh! Nevermind… I’m doing it because of YOU guys anyway…


Let’s see, today’s episode almost killed me for real! I was enjoying my dinner, ordered some spaghetti from Pizza Hut when I choked badly as I saw the scene where Zhi Hua overly pretended to be pushed down by Xiao Yan Zi. I was gasping for air, coughing wildly but thankfully the spaghetti managed to wriggle down my throat and into my stomach safely… Zhi Hua almost killed me, people. If I did die just now, you guys won’t be getting anymore summaries from me, hehe… Blame Zhi Hua! So gonna sue you Zhi Hua, you good for nothing monkey! Ish…


The 23rd episode of Huan Zhu Gege 3 started with…


Yong Qi and Er Kang riding their horses, heading fast toward their beloved wives. Yong Qi was anxious, asking Xiao Yan Zi whether she got permission to come there. Xiao Yan Zi said she’d asked Huangshang’s permission already and Fu Yun even brought a few Imperial Guards to protect them Zi Wei commented that Xiao Yan Zi successfully coaxed her, wanted to see Er Kang, her head couldn’t think wisely so she followed Xiao Yan Zi. Meanwhile both Xiao Yan Zi and Yong Qi jumped off their horses and went to each other. Xiao Yan Zi tied something around Yong Qi’s neck, making Yong Qi looked at her with question marks all over his head. “Zi Wei said she gave a lot of charms to Er Kang, I’m stupid, didn’t prepare anything for you. So I came to give you’re the Ruiyi Ji Xiang [Ji Xiang means luck] key that Huang Ah Ma had bestowed me so it can protect you” Yong Qi just looked at Xiao Yan Zi, not knowing what to say.


Zi Wei told Yong Qi to help each other in war and never part away. Xiao yan Zi said to work hard to defeat the enemy and suddenly told Zi Wei she won’t be going back to palace, wanted to follow Yong Qi. Yong Qi turned her around, saying he gave in to her every time but that time, he can’t. Er Kang asked Zi Wei to take care of herself before telling her to kiss Dong Er for him, he’d begin to miss Dong Er already. Zi Wei asked him to write her letters always and take care of himself. Sealing a passionate kiss on Zi Wei’s forehead, Er Kang stared deep into Zi Wei’s eyes. Xiao Yan Zi and Yong Qi were enjoying staring at each other when Xiao Yan Zi suddenly ran toward her horse to grab a golden sack full of food items and handed it to Yong Qi. Yong Qi said he’s not going for a vacation but Er Kang insisted him to take it. Touched by Xiao Yan Zi, Yong Qi grabbed Xiao Yan Zi and kissed her passionately, throwing all the food items onto the ground [I didn’t get to see it but I did see a bit of it in the previous opening credits].


Both of them were crying as they broke apart, Yong Qi kissed Xiao Yan Zi’s forehead and embraced her close to him, not wanting to let go of each other. Er Kang and Zi Wei smiled, witnessed the scene with their own eyes… Xiao Yan Zi and Yong Qi then picked up the food items on the ground, putting them into the golden sack. After a few moments of staring at his beloved wife, Xiao Yan Zi, Yong Qi turned to Zi Wei and asked her to take care of Xiao Yan Zi for him. Zi Wei promised, saying she’ll bring Dong Er and stayed in Jing Yang Gong sometimes. Saying a last goodbye to Xiao Yan Zi, Yong Qi told Er Kang they should be going. Zi Wei was hesitating to let Er Kang go but their hands broke apart at last, tears filled Er Kang’s eyes as he looked at Zi Wei for the last time. Xiao Yan Zi looked at her beloved Yong Qi with teary eyes for the last time before both the men sped off on their horses, joining the soldiers and resumed their journey to the battlefield. The princesses waved frantically, watching their men went off…


In Jing Yang Gong, Zi Wei played a qin [zither], singing a song probably dedicating it to the men, watched by Xiao Yan Zi, Zhi Hua, Qing Er and Dong Er. The troop finally arrived in Yunnan, Yong Qi and Er Kang were discussing about Liu Chao in a tent when suddenly a guard came in saying a Bai Yi Ren [A villager from Bai Yi] wanted to see them. Much to their surprise, it was Xiao Jian! He’d followed them all the way from Beijing. So all three of them sat at the table, Xiao Jian wanted to join in the war, saying both Yong Qi and Er Kang are his best friends and Yong Qi is his brother-in-law, of course he’ll join them. Since he grew up in Yunnan, he knew the Bai Yi and Yunnan dialects; he also knew the geographical site of Yunnan so he’s to be in the team. So Xiao Jian then asked about Qing Er and Er Kang told him ever since Qing Er met this ‘old man’, she’d been waiting in the palace with high hopes. He then asked about Xiao Yan Zi and Yong Qi said his life is very hard, stuck in between 2 women and said they’ll talk about it later [Scared? Hehe… ]. So they had a toast and drank happily.


In Jing Yang Gong, Zi Wei arrived, asking the eunuchs to fetch Qing Er to Jing Yang Gong. Xiao Yan Zi came out, greeting Zi Wei happily, missing her. Zi Wei told her that Er Kang wrote a letter to her, Yong Qi too. Xiao Yan Zi was all excited but then Zhi Hua suddenly came out asking whether Yong Qi wrote a letter but Zi Wei lied, telling her Er Kang was the one who wrote the letter, telling about Yong Qi, they’d arrived in Yunnan so the two girls hurriedly went into Xiao Yan Zi’s room. Zhi Hua was angry because Yong Qi didn’t write any letter to her [Of course you monkey, who wants to write letters to you?!], didn’t he love her at all, can’t she be compared to Xiao Yan Zi?? Qing Er suddenly came and went into Xiao Yan Zi’s room.


In Xiao Yan Zi’s room, Zi Wei gave Qing Er a letter, written by none other than Xiao Jian of course. He wrote it in a poetic way because he was scared it will fall into the wrong hands. so they all were excited that their men were going to war together. Xiao Yan Zi sadly said she had been wanting to go to Yunnan [Dali is there], saying the men are all there but all three of the girls are stuck in the palace. Suddenly Zhi Hua came in, bringing food and stuff and saw a letter on the table, saying it must be from Yong Qi. Xiao Yan Zi went near her and took the letter back, saying it’s from Er Kang to Zi Wei, I repeat Xiao Yan Zi went near her, she didn’t even have any sort of physical contact with Zhi Hua. Zhi Hua suddenly spun around, bumping into the table and fell onto the floor as Xiao Yan Zi grabbed the letter from her, as if Xiao Yan Zi had pushed her. Qing Er and Zi Wei were shocked, Xiao Yan Zi as well. Zhi Hua turned to Xiao Yan Zi, crying why ‘jie jie’ hit her stomach. She was crying in pain on the floor, Qing Er went to her and asked for the maids to call for Tai Yi. Xiao Yan Zi turned to Zi Wei, saying “I didn’t even touch her, how could she fall?!” Zi Wei was dumbfounded, finally realized the truth…


Blah, gonna skip this stupid part, make it short… Bleargh! In Zhi Hua’s room, Kuai Mo Mo was feeding medicine to Zhi Hua, watched by Lao Fo Ye. Her stomach is big already. Pretending to be innocent, Zhi Hua begged Lao Fo Ye not to be mad at Xiao Yan Zi, as it was just an ‘accident’. Pft… Kuai Mo Mo was still ebil as always, poking Lao Fo ye with ridiculous stuff. Lao Fo Ye later faced the three girls in the living room, scolding Xiao Yan Zi though she said she didn’t do anything. Xiao Yan Zi wanted to ask Zhi Hua the real thing but Qing Er and Zi Wei stopped her. As Lao Fo Ye was about to leave, dragging Qing Er along, Zhi Hua came out of the room wanting to bid farewell to the old lady, Lao Fo Ye [Forgive my language]. Upon seeing this, Xiao Yan Zi was fuming mad, saying she’s going crazy already and wanted to go to Zhi Hua but Zi Wei stopped her, alas Zi Wei was pushed by Xiao Yan Zi and fell into a table [So pathetic]...


Lao Fo ye saw this and said she knew how it happened then, dragging Zhi Hua along to stay in Ci Ning Gong. Xiao Yan Zi went to Zi Wei, kneeling in front of her. Zi Wei said “You must be patient, have you forgotten already?” Xiao Yan Zi was mad, sad, angry… saying she knew and asked why Zhi Hua changed like that? Xiao Yan Zi swore that she never touched Zhi Hua, she fell on her own. She blamed herself for running everything, saying she’d promised Yong Qi that she’ll be nice to Zhi Hua before he leave for war but now… Zi Wei and Xiao Yan Zi embraced each other. Zi Wei finally understanding the whole scenario said “Maybe Zhi Hua never changed, she has always been like that, she’d planned everything and we were fooled. She came into the palace, made Lao Fo Ye like her, coaxed us, became a Fu Jin, pregnant with Yong Qi’s child, all these are hard but she succeeded but she never though, at this kind of time, Yong Qi went to war…” Xiao Yan Zi was confused, asking what Zi Wei meant. Zi Wei answered, saying she hoped what she thought is not true…


In Yunnan, the men finally went to war. They were fighting against a troop of Burmese soldiers on elephants but the Qing army was winning when the Burmese army suddenly backed up. It’s funny how them each introduce themselves to the others. Er Kang almost caught the Burmese Prince, Musha and Yong Qi almost defeated the Burmese King, Meng Bai.


Later the narrator said both them teams kept fighting, sometimes win, sometimes lose. Once day the Qing army fought against the Burmese army again and…

Burgh, too tired already. I’d to type twice because I lost the first one… But I’m okay with it since my mood is very good today. I ate too much, I guess too many food produce too many endorphins that can make you all cheerful all night long.


Zhi Hua! That good for nothing girl, she’s so annoying, too annoying. Now Zi Wei, Qing Er and Xiao Yan Zi knew the true side of Zhi Hua… Shish… I can rant so many about her but too bad, I’m too lazy…
