[ Hzgg 3 - Episode 22 ]

Hmm, I guess I like the new Opening Theme but don’t really like the part where Zi Wei jumped off the cliff though the song that time really suits it somehow, the part… Hard to explain, teehee. But saved by butterflies…?! Love the part where Yong Qi spun Xiao Yan Zi around at the end of the clip though it’ll be a while till we see that… Hehe, 18 more episodes to go, Leia! Just 18… -_-"


So we didn’t get to see the PASSIONATE kissing scene in the opening theme but I used my handphone’s stopwatch to count how many seconds they kissed, so it turned out Yong Qi smooched Xiao Yan Zi for 8 long seconds and we won’t get to see it in the next episode either… Pft, so angry now! Yes, I had nothing to do right after I came back from my Chinese class, which by the way was awesome. The Lao Shi asked us to give physical things in English and she translated for us. She was getting suspicious already because I asked for things like ‘Moon, cloud, earth, tears’ and my other friends asked for ordinary stuff like ‘chair, fridge, fan, glass…’. Yes, I’m trying to write the whole Tian Shang Ren Jian lyrics in Chinese, thank you very much


Warning, the episode is all about Zi Wei and Er Kang [Major time!] since Er Kang will… be dead real soon, right? Muahaha…!


The 22nd episode of Tian Shang Ren Jian started with…


Xiao Yan Zi congratulating Zhi Hua for her pregnancy but Zhi Hua teased Xiao Yan Zi [In the most decent way yet hurtful…] saying Xiao Yan Zi had 2 miscarriages already so she’s being very careful now that her responsibility is getting bigger. Xiao Yan Zi was frowning again and Yong Qi came to Xiao Yan Zi, saying he wanted to talk about something with Zhi Hua in her room. So in Zhi Hua’s room [I’m cutting it short], Yong Qi tried to explain to her that he wants nothing with her anymore that her wish is fulfilled, his heart and love only belong to Xiao Yan Zi, but then Zhi Hua wanted Yong Qi, saying his cruel that he’s treating her like this. In the end, Yong Qi was lost in his thoughts “Why became like this?! Didn’t she say she didn’t want ANYHTHING?! Why want me?!?!?!”


Later Fu Da Ren went to see Er Kang about things in Yunnan and they went to see Huangshang in Yan Xing Dian. They told him that the Burmese King, Meng Bai had lead his soldiers to attack Yunnan and a lot of places have been conquered. The person that guarded Yunnan, Liu Chao was a useless person and had lost in the war. Er Kang said not to worry because they still have soldiers guarding in Pu Er, lead by Liu De Cheng who’s good in war, can go and kick the intruders out of Yunnan. Fu Heng [Fu Da Ren] wanted to bring soldiers to go to Yunnan but Yong Qi said Liu Chao won’t listen to him, need someone with special power/title. Er Kang volunteered to go and Fu Lun joined too. Yong Qi joined, saying Er Kang’s title is not enough. Er Kang said he wanted to tag along since he’s very close with Wu Ah Ge and can protect him at the same time. So Huangshang agreed, and elected Fu Heng as the general, Yong Qi as the left general and Er Kang and the right hand general while Fu Lun is ordered to stay in Beijing since both his sons are not here. They’re going in 3 days…


In the Fu Resident, Fu Ren was panicking, worried about her son since Er Tai is already in Tibet but Fu Lun said he’s proud since Er Kang has been elected as the assistant general. Later Zi Wei with a sad face excused herself to go packing Er Kang’s clothes. In the couple’s bedroom, Zi Wei was crying on her bed and Er Kang entered the room and they embraced. Zi Wei was sad because it’ll be their first time parting since they married. Er Kang promised to return, saying that he’d understand the meaning of continuing living, life becomes very special if you’re loved by someone. People live just for the sakes of their loved ones so he’ll continue to live for Zi Wei, Dong Er and his parents. Er Kang sealed a light kiss on Zi Wei’s lips as they continued hugging.


In Jing Yang Gong, Zhi Hua dramatically [ ] dropped a cup of tea on the floor when Yong Qi broke the news to his wives. Yong Qi said he didn’t know when he’ll return, maybe a couple of months, maybe 3 or 5 years. Upon hearing this, Xiao Yan Zi asked Cai Xia and Ming Yue to pack clothes for Yong Qi and hers as well. She wanted to follow but Yong Qi said he cannot bring her because everybody else will bring their wives as well. Meanwhile, our oh-so-innocent [ Big eye-rolling her, people…] Zhi Hua pondered what she would do that Yong Qi is going, she’d planned to make Yong Qi fall in love with her to make Yong Qi hers but everything is ruined now… Wahhahha, served you right monkey… Xiao Yan Zi pouted when Yong Qi asked Zhi Hua to take care of herself and the baby.


Later Yong Qi took Zhi Hua and Xiao Yan Zi’s hands into his [I repeat, he took Zhi Hua’s hand as well! Gimme some big ‘EEWWW’ now…], saying though both of them are staying in Jing Yang Gong and married to him, he’s not sure whether both of them are friends or enemy so he asked Zhi Hua [How could he humiliate Xiao Yan Zi like that?!] to take care of Xiao Yan Zi since she’s so careless but Xiao Yan Zi quickly pulled her hand away, saying she’s not a child. Zhi Hua, being the perasan or also known as angkat bakul… [She thinks Yong Qi thinks she’s better than Xiao Yan Zi, pft! ] started thinking that Yong Qi means that she’s better than Zhi Hua. Xiao Yan Zi was a bit angry when Yong Qi asked her to promise him. She asked whether Yong Qi’s scared that she’ll bully Zhi Hua and quickly excused herself to her room, with Yong Qi trailing behind her.


In Xiao Yan Zi’s room, Xiao Yan Zi tired to coax Yong Qi to bring her along, promising she’ll be good. Yong Qi, in mixed emotions answered calmly “I really want to bring you along, I don’t have the heart to leave as well but this time I really can’t, this is my first time going to war, it’s a big responsibilities, I want to win the war. If I bring you along, I won’t focus my attention on the war. If you’ve really matured, you should understand, stay in palace and wait for my return” So Xiao Yan Zi asked Yong Qi to return early, no later than half a year. If she has to wait for 3 to 5 years, she’ll die. Yong Qi smiled, asking her “Can’t you say something good?” Xiao Yan Zi’s eyes were filled with tears answering she was nervous, couldn’t think properly.


Moving his hands from Xiao Yan Zi’s face to her arms, Yong Qi said he is worried of her “When I leave, you cannot fight with Huang Ah Ma and Lao Fo Ye. I won’t be with you, Huang Ah Ma has already taken Jian Pai [Golden Seal] back. For me, you have to take care of yourself. I really love you, you have to live” Xiao Yan Zi answered him sadly “I know, I’ll forget the grudge on Huang Ah Ma, I’ll wait for you to return, I’ll be nice to Zhi Hua, will help to take care of your child--” Upon hearing this, Yong Qi looked straight into her eyes, feeling a bit guilty. Xiao Yan Zi continued “You beat Burma, I won’t make you worry…I won’t bring you shame. I really love you too” She gently placed her hands on Yong Qi’s face “You’ve to live for me” So Yong Qi promised her as they stared into each other’s eyes, hoping the promise will not be broken…


Later we see the Royal Family having dinner as they watched a group of armies performing in front of them. Huangshang, Lao Fo Ye, Ling Fei, Qing Er, Zhi Hua, Zi Wei, Xiao Yan Zi, Yong Qi, Er Kang, Fu Heng, Fu Lun and Fu Ren were seated at a large round table. Huangshang made a toast, wishing Yong Qi, Er Kang and Fu Heng the best of luck so they all stood up to toast together, drinking their wines. Ling Fei then made a toast, representing the Imperial Concubines in the palace, wishing the three of them good luck. Qing Er then made a toast for them three, wishing for their early return. Xiao Yan Zi went to Huangshang and made a toast for him, asking him to forgive her for her bad behaviors lately, saying she didn’t want Yong Qi to worry about her since he’s leaving for war. Huangshang was happy and hoped Xiao Yan Zi will be the real Xiao Yan Zi again so he drank his wine, together with Xiao Yan Zi. Yong Qi was all smiling and proud of Xiao Yan Zi.


In the Fu Resident, Er Kang was testing his shiny armour [Hehe… more like red armour]. Zi Wei sewed it for him and the men will be leaving the next day. Fu Lun handed Er Kang the family sword, saying he had faith that Er Kang will win. Later Fu Lun and Fu Ren left the couple in privacy. Zi Wei asked Er Kang to open his clothes, wanting to show his some secret she’d sewn in the suit. She’d sewn a zi wei hua [I found the translation somewhere, it means a myrtle flower? Correct me if I’m wrong…] with some kind of lucky charm she’d gotten from the temple beneath it, saying the flower represents her since she won’t be there, the flower will protect Er Kang. She also gave Er Kang the ‘Zhi Qian’, [the first coin of the year to where Huangshang had bestowed to Zi Wei in the 2nd episode], asking him to wear it all the time. Hugging Zi Wei, Er Kang said “I have zi wei hua, lucky charm and Zhi Qian, I’ve your prayers all over my body, I’m sure I’ll be fine”


The next day, the arrival of the big day yet the most horrifying day for the girls of course [Ugh, kick Zhi Hua aside please, thank you very much.]. In front of the Imperial Court [The big empty space, where else…], thousands of soldiers gathered, ready to leave for the battlefield. All the Royal Family was there. Clad in their armours, Er Kang, Yong Qi and Fu Heng stood tall before them. Huangshang elected Fu Heng as the general, leading the blue soldiers, Wu Ah Ge is the left-hand general, will lead the white team soldiers and Er Kang will lead the red ones. After a loud soar, the men and their soldiers left. Zi Wei and Xiao Yan Zi were restless all the time as they watched their beloved men left… Not knowing whether they’ll see them again or not…


The whole troop of soldiers trailed behind General Fu Heng, Yong Qi and Er Kang. Suddenly Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei are seen riding fast on their horses, chasing after their beloved husbands. Yong Qi and Er Kang heard the shouting and turned around. Fu Heng told them two to say goodbye to their wives, saying the whole troop will wait for them and the men of course nodded in agreement…

Not much to say about this episode, mainly about Zi Wei and Er Kang. I’m mad because they never showed what Yong Qi and Xiao Yan Zi did the last night they spent together before Yong Qi leaves the next day…


I learnt a new word today. I had to look in a thick dictionary [Reader’s Digest Universal Dictionary, damn thick!] to find the meaning of myrtle. ‘Any of several evergreen shrubs or trees of the genus Myrtus, an aromatic shrub native to the Mediterranean region’. Lol! [


Hope tomorrow’s episode will be a better one…
