[ Hzgg 3 - Episode 7 ]

Episode 6 was not written due to the fact I was down with fever, TQ.


Episode 7 of Huan Zhu Gege: Tian Shang Ren Jian starts with…the opening credit of course! Okay, okay… the episode starts with…


Yong Qi questioning Xiao Jian, why he refused to accept Huangshang’s offer to become an Imperial Magistrate and work for the government. Yong Qi added, at least he would have a permanent house in Beijing and won’t have to live in inns anymore. Xiao Jian asked Yong Qi not to talk about it again; telling that he’d said so many times that he didn’t to become one. Er Kang who knew the truth about Xiao Jian’s past stepped forward and said he understood and won’t force Xiao Jian. But the question is about Qing Er, she cannot leave Lao Fo Ye so what would Xiao Jian do now. Xiao Jian asked, whether he was really torturing Qing Er with Lao Fo Ye. Yong Qi answered that he thinks it’s true, telling that Qing Er is a princess who grew up in palace and if Xiao Jian loves her, he has to sacrifice for her. Yong Qi nonchalantly added that Xiao Jian will only become a government servant [As-the-matter-of-factly… ]. Enraged, Xiao Jian glared at Yong QI, saying that Huangshang is evil and he cannot work under him even for Qing Er. Yong Qi became mad as well, saying that Huangshang is Xiao Yan Zi and his father so he needs to respect Huangshang. He wondered why each time they talked about Huangshang, Xiao Jian became like that. Turning to Yong Qi, Xiao Jian said that Huangshang is Yong Qi’s father but not his. Yong Qi was becoming confused minute by minute; it’s clearly shown on his face. Not wanting things to get out control, Er Kang once again stepped in the middle, reminding Xiao Jian that they’re talking about Qing Er so don’t talk nonsense.


Soon Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei came running to them after visiting Qing Er. Xiao Yan Zi explained that Qing Er’s conditions was pretty bad yet she still begged Lao Fo ye to accept Xiao Jian. Zi Wei said that Lao Fo ye didn’t say anything about it and she spoon fed Qing Er the medicine and at the same time Qing Er continued begging while crying and in the end, she vomited back the medicine. Xiao Jian’s sword slipped from his hand and fell on to the floor upon hearing this. Xiao Jian said it’s over, he cannot fight against Lao Fo Ye and added that Huang Hou was right, both Lao Fo Ye and him are torturing Qing Er. Though one of them gets her, it’s no use after all. Then Xiao Jian asked Xiao Yan Zi to follow him to a place. Er Kang, Yong Qi and Zi Wei wanted to follow but Xiao Jian said it’s their business so yelled at them not to follow. Yong Qi just looked at them leaving helplessly.


Xiao Jian and Xiao Yan Zi arrived at a temple. He explained to her sister that that place was their birthplace. 24 years ago, there was no temple there, instead their house. Xiao Jian continued, saying her heard that their house had a big garden and after their father was dead, their mother gave them to their best friend and that night, the house was burnt down. Xiao Jian added that a couple of years ago, he came back there and found that there was no relative left and their parents were buried already. So he buried [Huh? I think he made their tombstones or something… ] them at Chang Hill and vowed not to return back to Hang Zhou because he will feel sad. But this time, he returned just because of Qing Er and Xiao Yan Zi.


Tears began welling up in Xiao Yan Zi’s eyes and as she looked around, she began crying. Xiao Yan Zi said, as she touched a few things, saying maybe her mother once played with her there and maybe her father practiced Kung Fu with Xiao Jian over there and etc. She added, saying she could imagine how they looked like. Her mother must have looked like her and her father looked like Xiao Jian. Turning to Xiao Yan Zi, Xiao Jian coldly said that time for mourning is over and they should leave. Xiao Yan Zi protested, saying that he told her too little and she wanted to know more about their enemy. Xiao Jian said he cannot tell because he didn’t know about it as well. He said that he’d been thinking about revenging but after meeting Xiao Yan Zi, she’d changed him. So he told her if she ever knew the real story, she should think of his misery. Then Xiao Jian stepped out from the temple, Xiao Yan Zi insisted she still wants to take a look around but Xiao Jian said he has to leave. Xiao Yan Zi tried stopping him but he said to tell Qing Er that he prays for her happiness and left the temple with Xiao Yan Zi on hot pursuit.


Soon the two of them arrived at a horse stable where Xiao Jian untied a horse and tried leaving but Xiao Yan Zi tried stopping him by saying Lao Fo ye accepted her, the person who is uneducated so why wouldn’t she accept Xiao Jian. Xiao Jian answered back, saying that he cannot give happiness to Qing Er. He didn’t want to torture Qing Er and if he leaves, it’ll be good for everyone including Xiao Yan Zi too [Family thingy… ]. Xiao Yan Zi ran after Xiao Jian, saying that he cannot be like that, telling him that he’s a fool. She added that he doesn’t understand a woman’s mind; if he leaves Qing Er will be all crazy. She said that they’ll think of something but Xiao Jian fought as he tried to leave but Xiao Yan Zi kept stopping him. Then Yong Qi, Er Kang and Zi Wei came to help. Yong Qi pulled his arm, asking him not to act like a child, when facing problem, he wants to leave just like that. He also asked Xiao Jian to calm down. Er Kang too screamed at Xiao Jian, saying everybody was busy thinking of something for Xiao Jian but he was busy running away, unreasonable! Xiao Jian asked them not to care for him and thanked them for being nice. With that, Xiao Jian jumped onto the horse and was about to gallop away when Xiao Yan ZI stood in front of the horse with her arms wide open. Angry, Yong Qi told Xiao Jian that he wanted to kick his butt for Qing Er. Yong Qi, using his martial arts began fighting with Xiao Jian. Seeing things getting out of hand, Er Kang joined in while Zi Wei ran to get help. Soon the rain began pouring down.


We’re now in Qing Er’s room; she’s sitting on the bed with Ling Fei tending her and Lao Fo ye watched from her seat. Then the eunuch announced Zi Wei’s arrival and Qing Er quickly turned around. Zi Wei told her that Xiao Jian was in the horse stable and wanted to leave and probably will never return. Qing Er instantly gasped, saying she wanted to go and fell on the floor. It amused me how Zi Wei didn’t bother to greet Lao Fo Ye and Ling Fei at all!!! Lao Foye just watched as Qing Er left with Zi Wei. Ling Fei went out to ask a guard to run after Qing Er and to tell Huangshang about it.


Yong Qi, Xiao Jian and Er Kang were still fighting in the rain with Xiao Yan Zi kept shouting to Xiao Jian not to fight with her husband. They then stopped; Xiao Jian said if they continue fighting he won’t forgive them. So Yong Qi said that if he wants to leave, he has to defeat him first. Pulling out his sword, Xiao Jian tried to ‘murder’ Yong Qi but with Er Kang’s help, the sword finally fell onto the earth, thrust into it. Er Kang shouted at him, he understood how Hang Zhou is a very sad place for him and how he felt toward Huangshang but before Er Kang could finish his sentence, Xiao Jian kicked away and rode on the his horse, left them in the rain. Qing Er came into the picture, running after Xiao Jian. Qing Er kept screaming for Xiao Jian to bring her together but Xiao Jian ignored her, galloping faster. Then Qing Er fell 2 times and said that she chose Xiao Jian. So Xiao Jian turned around and went to Qing Er, who was literally crawling to him. So they hugged. It amused me when I suddenly remembered about how Zi Wei first met Er Kang. She crawled to him, right? So Qing Er asked Xiao Jianto bring her together and she’d chosen him, taking back what she has said including the letter. Concerned, Xiao Jian asked Qing Er why did she come, all sick and raining, she was looking for death. Qing Er said that 4 years ago when she met Xiao Jian at Xiao Yan Zi’s wedding, she was already Xiao Jain’s. So Xiao Jian said he gives in and just for her, he’ll stay. So they bought Qing Er back to the boat.


At the boat [Not Lao Fo Ye’s boat but it’s either Xiao Jian’s, Xiao Yan Zi’s or maybe Zi Wei’s…] Qing Er laid in the bed with Xiao Jian next to her. The maid brought a bowl of medicine and gave it to Zi Wei. She then told Xiao Jian to help Qing Er to get up cuz she has to drink the soup while it’s hot. So he helped her to getup while Xiao Yan Zi placed some pillows on her head. Zi Wei handed the bowl to Xiao Jian and said they’ll go to stop Lao Fo ye from coming there. So the girls left and Xiao Jian began feeding her. He said that he couldn’t resist Qing Er at all. Quoting what ZI Wei once said, Qing Er may looked cold but her heart was filled with… uh, feelings? . Qing Er told him that she’s willing to go with him if he leaves because if he does, she can’t continue her life. Xiao Jian said he understands and will become a government servant just for her. He said he’ll tell her all about him after she gets well. Qing Er then asked him does he has wife and kids already. Xiao Jian answered back, saying Qing Er is the only girl in his life. Qing Er asked Xiao Jian to promise her not to leave again and if he does, he has to bring her along. So of course Xiao Jian promised and they hugged.


As they were enjoying their intimate moment together, Lao Fo Ye suddenly arrived with Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei by her side. Qing Er instantly knelt down before Lao Fo Ye and Xiao Jian greeted her. Qing Er apologized to Lao Fo Ye and asked Lao Fo Ye to punish her. Concerned, Lao Fo Ye asked Qing Er to lay down and not to talk anymore. Lao Fo ye then began speaking, she can’t stop their love anymore and once again she’s lost. Turning to face Xiao Jian, Lao Fo Ye warned him to be good and after they go back to Beijing, they will be married. She added that Qing Er is her most beloved princess and he should let her see her often after that. The ecstatic Xiao Yan Zi asked Lao Fo Ye and she answered how could she stop them. If she continues it, Xiao Jian will torture Qing Er to death. Following Xiao Yan Zi’s order, Xiao Jian thanked Lao Fo Ye. Qing Er thanked Lao Fo Ye who patted her hand gently.


The scene changed to the youngsters being in Huangshang’s boat. He said the incident ends well so don’t make anymore trouble, adding that Qing Er is Lao Fo Ye’s favourite and she can’t be taken out [For a date] without Lao Fo Ye’s permission. He said Lao Fo Ye had agreed that the two shall be married once they’re back in Beijing. He said he’ll discuss what position he shall give Xiao Jian once they’re back in Beijing. Xiao Yan Zi came running forward, thanking Huangshang and wished him for a long life. So the suck-up scene begins. Xiao Yan Zi said that he’s nice, smart, kind-hearted, well educated and loves his people a lot, brave and he is the good one and they’re [Referring to her and friends] the bad ones. Huangshang was amused and chuckled. He asked Xiao Yan Zi to say about her bad side. With Yong Qi chuckling behind her, she began saying that she’s naughty, troublesome, loves breaking the rules, stupid [Wonder why Yong Qi didn’t stop her], acts before thinking, careless, loves to make people angry, evil and unreasonable. Yong Qi just looked at her from behind. She looked behind, asking for Yong Qi’s help but instead he stepped forward and added even more. Hard-headed, obnoxious, crazy, loves to play around and childish. Xiao Yan Zi gasped, looking at Yong Qi who was smiling. So she started defending herself, saying that they’re not that bad. They’ve their own good side. Warm-hearted, sincere, loves friends, brave and no more… All of them chuckled after that.


That night, Er Kang and Zi Wei shared some private moment together, summarizing what had happened the whole day. At last Qing Er and Xiao Jian will be together and… So Zi Wei asked Er Kang what was he thinking about and vice versa. They spoke at the same time “Dong Er”. They hugged and started saying all romantic stuff… blah… and then they heard a girl singing on another boat. She sang the ending song of Hzgg 3. Huangshang who was watching some Thai dance heard it and asked Fu Lun to go investigate it. Mend Da Ren said it’s Xia Ying Ying and soon they brought her to his boat an Huangshang asked all of them to leave her alone there. Huangshang realized she looks just like Xia Yu He. After bringing her friends on the boat, they began playing a song for him and suddenly one of the strings snapped. Then Huangshang stepped forward, saying that she’s Xia Yu He. Zi Wei who was listening from her boat saying that zither players believe that if a string breaks, something bad will happen. After a series of talk between Zi Wei and Er Kang regarding the promise Huangshang made to Xia Yu He, the episode ends…


[Ranting time…]


Unbelievable… It’s episode 7 already. And it's already February 1st! Okay, first have you noticed the Xiao Jian is actually colder in Hzgg 3? He acts as if he never bothered about anyone’s feelings at all, except Qing Er’s of course… I miss the old, warm-hearted Xiao Jian. I don’t mind the cast but Xiao Jian now is… so… weird.


Nothing, Xia Ying Ying is pretty and I wonder whether she’s related to Xia Yu He since her surname’s the same as Yu he’s… that’s all! See ya! Enjoy tonight’s episode!
