[ Hzgg 3 - Episode 1 ]

Today I finally watched the first episode of Huan Zhu Gege: Tian Shang Ren Jian. My friend burnt the CD for me, he helped recording it on Friday. Sending huggies and kisses ot my best friend!


The episode started off with...


scenes from the battle field where Yong Qi, Xiao Jian and Er Kang can be seen on their horses. Soon elephants came out of nowhere and thousands of soldiers started fighting with them. There was a prince of Burma named Prince Musha riding on one of the elephants and fought with Er Kang. He was a girl actually… Later Yong Qi was fighting against the King of Burma. Then Er Kang got shot by poisonous arrows and Yong Qi was about to be trampled by an elephant when suddenly the screen went white….


The time went back exactly 3 years before the war. It was Huangshang’s birthday if I’m not mistaken. Please correct me if I’m wrong. The Royal Family was sitting on the stage, watching a group of dancers with lanterns performing before them Xiao Yan Zi was one of them. She was a narrator too. She told how she was mistaken as Huangshang’s daughter and bestowed with the title “Huan Zhu Gege”. Xiao Yan Zi then jumped toward Huangshang and introduced him as the most powerful emperor, handing a pink lantern to him. Then we saw Zi Wei. Xiao Yan Zi told about Zi Wei being the real princess and also her sworn sister, also giving her a pink lantern. Xiao Yan Zi then jumped toward Qing Er, telling that she was Lao Fo Ye’s favourite and has a future with her brother before handing a lantern to her. Xiao Yan Zi then introduced Lao Fo Ye, Huang Hou Niang Niang and Ling Fei Niang Niang. They each received a lantern from Xiao Yan Zi.


She then introduced us to Wu Ah Ge, Yong Qi telling after all the hardships they went through they were finally married. Xiao Yan Zi threw 2 lanterns to him and he jumped of the stage, catching them. After that Er Kang came into the picture, introduced as Zi Wei’s most beloved person. He caught 3 lanterns from Xiao Yan Zi. She threw 4 lanterns to Xiao Jian, one of them almost hit Lao Fo Ye but he managed to catch it on time, giving it to Qing Er. The narrator also told us that Xiao Jian and Qing Er became a couple secretly. After that, all the dancers threw all the lanterns into the air and Xiao Yan Zi asked the guys to catch them before they fall down to earth. Using their martial arts, they caught the lanterns and hung them on the strings tied in the air. Huangshang also joined in by throwing his lantern to the string. Zi Wei wanted to join in and stood up, revealing her big stomach. Er Kang asked her to sit, worried about her. Huang Hou and Ling Fei commented on how Er Kang and Zi Wei, Yong Qi and Xiao Yan ZI looked so romantic with each other. Xiao Yan Zi tried catching one of the lanterns and almost fell, Yong Qi caught her and tickled her before embracing her.


Lao Fo Ye commented that being married to Yong Qi had changed Xiao Yan Zi but that night all she showed her true colours. The dancers built a pyramid and Xiao Yan Zi jumped on them, hanging the largest red lantern before it popped open and a long red cloth with some sayings fell down to earth. Xiao Yan Zi told that it was the second year of her marriage to Yong Qi and the couple looked at each other lovingly. She also complained about how she had to learn on becoming a Fu Jin and it was much harder than studying.


One fine day, Huangshang together with Ling Fei Niang Niang were walking around the palace with Yong Qi and Xiao Yan Zi behind them. Huangshang told that tomorrow they would celebrate ‘Sai Shu’ [Huh? Blame the translation, not me!] and they will be drying out the books. Xiao Yan Zi volunteered to do it. Yong QI looked at her weirdly before asking Huangshang’s permission to invite Zi Wei, Er Kang, Xiao Jian and Qing Er along to help her. Yong Qi told her that she can learn the books’ titles while drying them up. Huangshang then asked her to list down all the books’ titles. Looking at Yong Qi, Xiao Yan Zi blamed him for that. Huangshang and Ling Fei laughed before walking away. And Yong Qi received a punch from Xiao Yan Zi after that… Hehe.


The next day, all of them including the maids and eunuchs form Shu Fang Zhai helped drying out the books in the sun. Xiao Yan Zi used her martial arts to throw all the books out the windows and the guys caught them. When they went for a rest, dark clouds appeared out of nowhere and rain started pouring down to earth. Xiao Yan Zi blamed heaven for playing jokes on her. Everybody panicked and quickly brought all the books back inside. Xiao Yan Zi accidentally tripped over the staircase and fell onto the edge of a table. They all went to her side and she complained she wasn’t feeling well and asked Yong Qi to summon a Tai Yi. Yong Qi carried her back to Jing Yang Gong.


At Jing Yang Gong, Lao Fo Ye complained how could Xiao Yan Zi suffered miscarriage while drying the books, telling how she was a careless mother. She sarcastically asked Xiao Jian what he was doing there, calling him an outsider. Huang Hou protected Xiao Yan Zi by telling she could get pregnant again since she was healthy. Lao Fo Ye left Jing Yang Gong with Qing Er and Huang Hou, together with Ling Fei. Er Kang, Zi Wei and Xiao Jian went back to continue their work.


Meanwhile in their room, Yong Qi was sitting on the bed with Xiao Yan Zi lying all pale in it. Yong Qi asked her why she didn’t tell him, telling that pregnancy is a serious matter. He told Xiao Yan Zi that if he knew, he wouldn’t have let her dry the books, getting drenched in the rain and fell. Xiao Yan Zi answered that she really didn’t know about it and didn’t feel anything. Yong Qi told her that it was her body, how come she didn’t know about it. Xiao Yan Zi answered back, telling him she was careless and nobody ever taught her about it and she had no mother to help her with that. She pleaded Yong Qi not to be angry with her, saying that she was sad too. She continued that she never experienced it before and next time she will know about it. Yong Qi told her he wasn’t mad at her, telling her how could he be angry at her after what’d happened to her. He continued on, telling he was worried and felt bad. Losing a baby was so sad.


He felt guilty that he didn’t notice it since he was practically by her side everyday and their relationship was good. Yong Qi convinced her not to feel guilty and they will try for another child. Xiao Yan Zi suddenly sat up worried about the books. Yong Qi asked her to lie down, telling her all the books combined together, they were nothing compared to her. The couple looked at each other lovingly while Yong Qi smothered her hand with kisses and Xiao Yan Zi narrated how they lost their first child that time and in the future it was used against her and Lao Fo Ye kept complaining to her even more. She also told that Zi Wei had given birth to Dong Er, Er Kang was so happy about it and she envied them. In a moment of time, Dong Er was already 3 years old. Xiao Yan Zi continued telling that they celebrated the most important year, the year that has changed their history.


3 years after the incident, there was a competition called ‘Tiao Tuo’ which was a game originated from Mongolia held in the palace. Once again the Royal Family was there except for Xiao Yan Zi. She was missing. Yong Qi told Huangshang that she was not feeling well and couldn’t come. Lao Fo Ye asked him whether there was a good news, Ling Fei, Huangshang and Zi Wei joined in teasing Yong Qi and Yong Qi just sheepishly dismissed all the questions. The competition then began and the winner will get something valuable from Huangshang. So participants after participants went on to perform before the Royal Family. Then a guy named Gege Zi Yan Xiao appeared . Huangshang commented that the guy’s was small and there was no way he could win. The silly ‘guy’ then began performing before them, making everybody laughed at his funny movements.


And that was the ending of episode 1, people…

Okay, it was so sad that the writer made Xiao Yan Zi and Yong Qi lost their first child in the first episode! And I was upset that Yong Qi asked various type of questions, weirds ones to Xiao Yan Zi when she had a miscarriage... But I love the scene where Yong Qi kissed her hand again and again after that...


Zi Wei! Zi Wei, Zi Wei had changed a lot! She seemed to be like Xiao Yan Zi.
A bit more playful now... An expecting mother acting like Xiao Yan Zi... Hmm...
